History Movies

History films recreate real periods, people and turning points. They are dramatizations rather than records, so dates and characters may be compressed or reimagined for the screen. TMDB uses History as a movie genre only.

How to choose: Treat a historical film as a starting point, and check independent sources for what really happened.
